I have been teaching music and theater to people of all ages since 2010.
Most recently, I have been working in the Bethel Public School District as a long-term substitute music teacher for grades K - 3 this academic year (2020-2021). Throughout my career, I have also taught at performing arts camps in both CT and NY. Some of these include: Dutchess Community College (Poughkeepsie, NY), Fineline Theater Arts (New Milford, CT), ERA Productions (Bethel, CT), and Sharon Playhouse (Sharon, CT). Previously, I was also a teacher at the now-closed private school Workspace Academy in Bethel, CT.
Swetz Studios officially opened in 2018 and I have consistently had private students ever since. For most of 2020, COVID-19 necessitated a shift to virtual-only lessons through Zoom. It was challenging at first to adjust to this new style of teaching, but the numerous virtual teaching opportunities I had throughout 2020 made this transition easy and comfortable.
Now that restrictions are lifting, I have returned to in-person lessons at my studio, located at In Motion Dance Center in Lagrangeville, NY. Virtual lessons will also continue to be available, and I look forward to meeting you and bringing your acting, vocals, and/or piano playing to the next level.
